Our society supports the efforts of local CFA candidates by sponsoring a variety of CFA Exam preparation and review opportunities. Experienced and respected academicians and investment practitioners coach candidates on CFA curriculum topics such as securities analysis and investment valuation, financial accounting, quantitative analysis, economics, asset allocation and portfolio management. Participation in an organized program can compliment the self-study design of the CFA program.
An except from a letter from the CFA Institute to Member Societies
Used appropriately, high-quality prep courses and study notes are excellent supplements to the assigned curriculum. But even the best of such materials are by no means a substitute for the curriculum. As your study guide indicated, “in designing the examinations, the council of Examiners references only the curriculum assigned…in the study guide and the LOS developed for the curriculum.” For those candidates who will be continuing in the program, we also ask that you exercise due diligence in selecting providers of prep courses and study notes. Be wary of providers that emphasize high pass rates as their numbers are often unsubstantiated. We advise you to avoid entirely providers who promise short cuts to passing the CFA examination or worse those who actively discourage you from following the assigned readings of the curriculum.

CFAC is pleased to announce its continued affiliation with Stalla. We feel that the Stalla exam preparation materials are an excellent supplement to the body of knowledge.
